Big Kahuna Timing Support Staff

Our support personnel fall into two basic categories:

  1. Experienced track & field savvy folks – retired T&F/CC coaches, former athletes, USATF certified officials, etc.
  2. Folks who have been specially trained by B:K.T to operate our timing and scoring equipment and software.

B:K.T is the official timer for Appalachian State University in Boone, NC (GO APPS!) and Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC (GO BEARS!).

“Big Kahuna Timing is unmatched in the quality of their timing system and the professionalism of their staff.  We wanted something special for the athletes at our conference championships.  We wanted it to feel like a championship meet and having the FAT timing system is certainly part of that experience.  BKT gives our meets that ‘official’ championship feel and allows our coaches to coach at these big meets instead of having to time races and decide close finishes.  BKT takes all of the guess work out of those close finishes and our championship meets run very smoothly.  The Smoky Mountain Conference has used BKT at our track championships since 2008 and our cross country championships since 2011.  I highly recommend Big Kahuna Timing to anyone who wants their meets to be a first class experience for their athletes and coaches.”
